Very rarely, if ever do you run into a place like The Whosoever Gospel Mission. This is a place where reconciliation, restoration & recovery are real. The Whosoever Gospel Mission ministers to the whole man.

After relapsing on drugs and loosing my job, I was forced to make a reappearance at the mission. I will never forget the way I felt when I walked through the gates: ashamed, overwhelming guilt, failure, and defeat. There were men there that I knew, men who were in the mission with me at a prior time, and I was told to hold my head up and to focus on Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith and in time everything will work out to His glory and His honor. I listened to the chapel sermons given by the staff; I read my bible and prayed. I showed up for my counseling sessions with my assignments done and heeded the advise of my counselor, and I tried under the power of the Holy Spirit to “walk” according to the man of God that I am.

I sincerely thank God for the mission. It is a place where you are treated with respect and dignity; it is a place where you can regain what was lost, it is a place where you are instructed and encourage to put Jesus first and foremost.

Today I am drug free, I am working full time as a manager over a staff of 7, I am back with my family, and I am back in ministry at my church. As I sit here with tears of gratitude in my eyes all I can say is Thank you God for the way you used “The Mission” in my life…..I will never forget

Dear Reverend Emberger:
I wanted you to know that because of the help I received at Whosoever Gospel Mission in 1998 and 1999, with the Help of God, I have overcome my previous addictions, gotten married, bought a new home in Houston, and gone back to school. I received an MBA from KGSM in 2008 and will complete a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University next Spring. I've gone on mission trips to China to teach English and plan to return again next summer. By the grace of God and the work of the Mission, I have been blessed to be a blessing to others. I hope you remember me and the Christ-centered lyrics I wrote and performed for you and others. Although I had a few setbacks, mine is a true success story which would not have been possible except for the help I received at the Mission. Thanks again.
Blessings,
Walter Rollo Wilson

Amen brother! I can agree so much with your testimony. I was a procrastinator and always did things in the last minute. Always did things at my time and if i felt like it. Sooner or later i had to get hit with reality and i did. In 2008 I dropped out of school at the age of 16 while in the 10th grade. I wanted to go with the easy way out. I wanted to take a quick course to take my G.E.D and get a job. Again i realized the world did not revolve around me. Found out that the "quick course" I was paying for was a scam. I didn't get me G.E.D so i had to find a job, so i did. I worked for a few months, but was very imature and ended taking advantages of a great boss and not showing up to work. I got fired and was left devastated when I got hit with reality that the world does not revolve around me and doing things at my time. I was jobless and was not in school! I didn't know what to do besides party and throw my life away. I was quickly going down a dark tunnel in my life, until i saw the Light Who was going to lead me away from all of it. God restored my life, gave me a REASON to live, and showed me His mercy! I was able to get my G.E.D from temple and in January of this year i began my first semester of college! Praise God! Now I am in my second semester in Eperanza "Hope" College and so grateful for me secind chance to be educated and to live the way the Lord would want me to live, they way He wants all of His children to live. I tahnk you for sharing your testimony with me and thank God for allowing me to share my testimony with you! You keep moving foward and overcome any obsticale by the strength our Lord! All things is possible through Jesus Christ brother! God bless and remain encouraged!
