Most Needed Items

We need liquid laundry detergent for the 100 PLUS loads of laundry we do each week for the homeless men enrolled in our New Life Program.

We need nonperishable foods and canned goods for the 150 meals we serve each day without charge to the homeless men enrolled in our New Life Program. We especially need sugar, coffee, powdered coffee creamer, salad dressing, jelly, macaroni and cheese boxes, pancake mix (complete – just add water) and syrup, rice, powdered milk, canisters of oatmeal, grits, canned beef ravioli, beeferoni, instant mashed potatoes, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned chili, Sloppy Joe sauce, and breakfast cereals (such as the store brands of Raisin Bran, Cornflakes, Cheerios, etc.). Supermarket gift cards are appreciated. We also have a membership at BJ’s – gift cards are a great help!

We need individually packaged drinks and snacks for our After School Program for needy children. The following items would be great: juice boxes, chewy granola bars, breakfast bars, peanut butter crackers, pretzels, cheese crackers, fruit roll-ups, raisins, animal crackers, etc. (no candy, please). Other After School Club supplies that we need are: coloring books, crayons, stickers, puzzle books, jump ropes, bubbles, dollar store toy items and other inexpensive children’s gifts/prizes.

We need college ruled loose leaf paper and new 1 inch three-ring binders for our Learning Program. Gift cards to Staples would also help us buy these items and other needed office and school supplies on-line and/or in the store.

We need cleaning supplies like 32 gallon or larger trash bags, paper towels, dinner napkins, glass cleaner, furniture polish, Simple Green, dish detergent, liquid hand soap, etc. Gift cards to Home Depot and Lowes would be a great help to buy these items.

For Christmas we will need new unwrapped toys/Christmas presents for our annual Christmas toy giveaway. We need both larger Christmas toys/presents and stocking stuffers for children ages 2 to 18. These gifts are given to the children and grandchildren of the homeless men in our New Life Program and also to our After School Club children.
